Fw 190 parts?

Hello everyone, I'm new on this forum. a friend found a piece with a hallmark "187". this piece could be from a Fw190 that fell in Normandy in 1944. if you can confirm the type of plane and where could it have been on the plane. thank you very much, Fred

Are there any traces of a paint on the piece?

it's difficult to say...if there was paint, it is no longer visible
