DAN COVER THAT BIRD UP!!! Future is a dust magnet. I have just been an old stainless steel mixing bowl from my garage that doubles as a BBQ woodchip soaker.

Speaking of which, hows that BBQ holdin' up for ya?

    Question on the Future application....

When sparying the sides of the fuselage, should I spray it laying on it side so the future doesnt run down the sides??? Do one side first, let it dry then do the other???

Does it matter??? Ive been puttin it on thick to cover some innacuracies in my painting...

Dan, I normally spray 'vertical' areas diagonally, then a quick zip vertically. Try not to lay it on thick - it's better to have a number of thin coats, which will be even and smooth, than one thick one, which could show runs etc.
If you do one single coat on, say the wings, by the time you've done the tops, then done the bottoms, you can probably give a second coat to the tops. That's what I meant about drying time- if spraying in single, thinner coats, you should be able to apply a second coat within ten to fifteen minutes of the first, probably less.

    Patience. Use The Force. Patience.

Spray it on like any other paint. Thin coats. And I have to contradict, Airframes. [uuuuhhhh , WTF? Now this should be rich!] Don't put a second coat on while you are airbrushing your first coat. Give it a first light coat (gun six inches away) and cover to prevent dust. Give it another coat the next day, if necessary. You'll be surprised that Future levels REALLY well.

[Okay. I've done it now. I'll never be a Jedi again.]

be real careful with the Gloss Dan...I don't use future, myself but thick coats can ruin a great effort if you go too far....now is not the time to F*ck it up mate.

I retract, to the surprise of Matt! He's right, it IS better to leave it at least a few hours before re-coating.
The only reason I use Klear (sorry, Future) as a gloss coat, is because some of the other clear coats are not readily available locally, and Klear not only is, but is b****y cheap compared to 'modelling' products - about £2.80 for a VERY large bottle, as opposed to the same, for a very SMALL bottle! Also, it's versatile, and darn good!
