Argh! Don't get me going on Jap craft! I know less about them than I do about Navy birds, or the PTO!
I don't know why, but Japanese WW2 aircraft have never held my interest, and consequently, I've ignored them. I personally think they all look a bit bland. I try not to build models of subjects I don't know about, and prefer whenever possible to have either first hand experience, in some form, of the real thing, or many years experience of studying, painting and modelling them.
In fact, until now, I've never strayed further than Europe, or, at the most, in rare cases, the Middle East, i.e. North Africa. Don't even think I've ever touched a WW2 Russian bird, and certainly not a Luftwaffe East Front crate.

It IS a great way to learn though Terry, through the research that you have to put in.

You know Terry, for some one who doesnt like Pacific area aircraft I think in the long run youve learned lots even without my help and your aircraft shows that from what Ive seen. If you do decide to do another one let me know and I would be more then happy to help out again or any other aircraft you are not familar with that you would like to learn. I know I enjoyed this and I didnt build the aircraft!!!!

I agree with all, a big thank you to Paul! Brilliant work mate, and not just for my stuff either.
Sorry guys, but I just don't find the Russian or Japanese aircraft intersting or attratcive enough to build, although I've always wanted to do a 'what if?' with a Zero in Luftwaffe colours.
As for the Wildcat, you can all P**s off!!
