| Senior Member | Following the advice of my local Hobby Shop, I bought decal paper for my ink jet (so I was told) that ended up not working with an ink jet. Not wanting to spend anymore $$ on this, I decided to attempt to paint the roundels instead. Straight lines, I can do straight lines. First the black background: ![]() Then the Orange "center": ![]() In hindsight, I should have painted the orange first as it would have made judging the width of the black outline A LOT easier. Now to finish the darn canopies...

| Good work on the markings VB. Yep, it's nearly always easier to paint the background first, especially if it's a lighter colour, as you then have much more latitude, and a reference to line-up any outlines.

| No A roundel in heraldry is any circular shape; the term is also commonly used to refer to a type of national insignia used on military aircraft ... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roundel So I think "triangle" does it! |
