Dark Sea Blue will cover up pretty much anything, so there's no need to be concerned!

Me four! A bit messy, but it's OK, and it'll clean up with a rub over with a tissue dampened in thinners. Then, just wipe over with a soft cloth - bingo, shiny new again!

Cheers guys -hopefully get it covered in white later today ( may not get time cause I'm really pushing to get NZ5255 done by wednesday)

I'm gonna do what you said Terry ,get it abit cleaner -then see how much time etc I've got

EDIT: Opinions wanted please ,if I paint it all white with acrylic ,then undewing/lower fusalage with 'sea blue' enamel ,then upper fusalage/ top of wings acrylics

Will they mix and get angry? (I think possibly the turps in the enamel will attack the undercoat acrylic) What'da you guys think?

Dan, have you received any pictures? All -1Ds were painted overall Sea Blue, unless there was something different with the Kiwi ones.

Any photos of NZ5517 you mean? as far as I know none exist

Heres what I'm basing the colours on for both this build and NZ5255 (it actually being NZ5255)

I found it in a magazine -think it should be known as a -1A not -1D as stated in the pic

EDIT: note the under outer wings/lower fusalage are a different blue
