You never know Peter, I love the OD/Neutral Grey schemes. Not boring at all! Might try a VVS P-39, they look good with red stars.

Good look with the experiments, don't forget to take pics!

Yes, that'll be the same stuff Peter, similar to the Microscale product. Let me know how you get on, as I'm making some decals for Jan and myself at the moment. Although the white isn't a major issue on these sets, it will be required for some later decals, where I was going to use the clear over white option. Dang, if I was still in 'the trade', I could print as many decal sheets as I wanted!!

Thanks Keith - but I'm only going to take pics of successful attempts! - okay?

This is my second OD/NG scheme in a row - so something different next time. I'm pushed a bit for time, but I did want do a NMF P-47 of the 350th as part of this GB. Have a Tamiya "D" 1/48 and the decals ready and waiting. What's the next GB? Heavy Hitters? Is there a thread with a definition? Would a D-Day striped rocket armed Tiffy qualify?

    cheers

    Peter

Nice clean lines on the 39 Pete, I can never get mine to look so good, it's going to be one fine Ac. Good luck with the decals to, I've got to give it to you, you’re an adventurer

Far as I know, there's also a separate GB for 'D-Day Stripes' coming up Peter, but I think a Typhoon with rockets would probably qualify under the Bombers/Heavy Hitters GB anyway, as there will be JU87G's etc in this GB from what I've heard.
I'll contact some of the modelling judges, see what's in the pipeline, and so on, then post the Guidelines for the next GB.

Cheers Terry - that would be great. I've got a couple of options in the stash that I think would qualify, but a little advance notice will mean I can do some more evilbaying for bits, essential bits!

I've got a few options myself, B-17, HE-111, but I'm leaning towards doing a Sturmovik.

All classics Keith, so you can't go wrong. The Sturmovik, if it's an AM one can build to a fantastic model. Decisions, decisions!

When we go into battle, we play music very loud. It kind of... calms us down."
