    F4U-4 WS18, VMF-323, Korea between July 1950 and February 1951 Group Build

    User name: Catch22
    Name: Cory
    Category: 2, Intermediate
    Kit: Academy F4U-4 Corsair
    Scale: 1/48
    Accessories: Aeromaster Decals

Not much of a story behind this one. The only thing remarkable about it is it's got a snake on the cowling!

Here are a few pics of VMF-323 F4Us with the snake on the cowling. Only the first picture is definitely my Corsair, but the other ones are still interesting.

I may be drunk, Miss, but in the morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly.

Thanks Glenn. Yeah I thought they were pretty particular about that. Apparently the scheme was short-lived though.

    I really like this suggestion.

If/When you do do it rustic touches will add to the presentation.

Overall looks like it'll be neat .

I hope so! I'll have to try and find one of those pencils. Maybe at an arts and crafts store.

I love the death rattler insignia. That's gonna POP when this one is done.

What type of pencil you after? If it's one of those Pentel pencils, you should be able to get that at any Michaels or any other decent art supply store.

I love it too, that's what got me into all of the Death Rattler builds.

I'm not 100% sure on what type of pencil it is. I have to dig up Wayne's guide to weathering and see if it's in there.

If it's the silver pencil, then it's 'Prismacolor'. Most stationery or art shops stock them.

You can get these pencils at Michaels or any art store.

Looking forward to your build Cory.

Was going to say 'that's the place', but everyone else has chipped in to say so. Great choice mate and entry No 3, are you aiming to sweep the board????
