    Excellent mate, definitely your best yet! And it proves that brush-painting can be done well - an airbrush is not a 'must have' tool !

    thanks Dogsbody, must admit i think this is my best yet and the sponge technique i used for the dense mottle worked very well !
    just need to do my Spitfire MkI, Ju87 B and Bf110 for my own little BoB collection
    am also thinking of doing Wick's E-4 in all its different stages from yellow 2 to when he was shot down !

    Karl, the Hobbycraft Ju88A-4 can be made into an A-5, and their Do17s are OK as is, especially the Do17Z, although they need a bit of tidying up internally. The hard one is the Revell / Monogram He111 - unless they re-release it.

    Does the muzzle blast filth on the cowling mimick a picture, cause it MAY be a tad heavy...
