**** FINISHED: 1/48th Spitfire MkVIII, 136 Sqn RAF, Burma, Commonwealth GB.

    Username: Airframes.
    Name: Terry.
    Category: Judge.
    Scale: 1/48th.
    Kit: ICM Spitfire MkVIII.
Accessories: Some scratch-building, 'Almarks' roundel decals, painted code letters.
So here's the aircraft flown by F/Sgt R W 'Bob' Cross, DFM, in February 1944, with which he scored one Army 01 (Oscar) destroyed, and one damaged, both confirmed, whilst flying from Rhumkhapalong, Burma.
The model was built as a commission for Max and Barbara, relatives of the late Bob Cross, and I hope it provides a fitting tribute to the highest-scoring RAF pilot in the CBI.
NOTE: First six pics are without the display base, for clarity.

That is one dirty looking Spitfire... Excellent work Terry, both on the bird and on the base.

Aren't we glad you're a judge, that is simply stunning work my friend, beautifully done both plane and base.

Terry, you've captured the character of this machine beautifully. I can just feel the sun beating down on that parched airfield and the dusty wings too hot to touch. Well done my friend!
