Seeking ID to emblem on nose cowl area on A-36A serial number 283721 or 42-83721, it was lown into the Cal-Aero field from Buckley Field ,Colorado in March of 1945 , the aircraft is silver painted , I would greatly appreciate any help as to the ID of the emlem, what School/Base/unit etc it is, the emblem is on a round ringed background and has a 50 caliber bullet (horizontally) with large raised wings and is over snow capped mountains .

Thank you and I hope to hear from someone soon!!!!!!!!!!!!

It might be 43-83721 which belonged to the 336th Air Base Squadron at Buckley Field, CO. I had no luck finding a patch but did come across a blurry picture of the plane which looked like it had the emblem you described.

Oops snautzer01 beat me to the draw.
