I don't believe it's a carrier based unit. You might check out one of the Naval Air Station units. A wild guess is that it might be a Combat Air Support Unit stationed at either NAS Hilo or NAS- Barber's Point.

It also might be a training unit.

Sorry that's the best I can do - and that's after poring thru the entire Official Monogram US Navy USMC Aircraft Color Guide Vol 2.

Thank you very much Kgambit, I though the same thing about not being a combat unit.
The only information from the person who sold me those photos are:
"PARRIS ISLAND SC F6F Hellcat Fighter 1945 SNAPS" but as we can see, those plane are not Hellcat so I'm not sure if I can trust "PARRIS ISLAND SC " too ...(didn't post at first to avoid misleading)
If the Official Monogram doesn't give the information wonder where the answer could be
Will post other scans as soon as possible, may be they will give us more clue?
Many many thanks Kgambit,
Olivier

Parris Island might be reasonable. If it's a training unit, the markings don't seem to fit the USNavy protocol which leads me to think it might be a USMC unit. And Parris Island would fit for that.
