French Transport Plane Insignia WWII

Can anyone help me identify the squadron/plane that flew under the Wolf's Head insignia (see attached)? It is reported to be from a French transport plane shot down in North Africa in 1945.

This insignia correspond with the "escadrille SPA 79"

Any idea what type of plane it would have been on in World War II?

Between 1940 and 1946 this squadron used BLOCH 210, DOUGLAS DB7 and B 26 MARAUDER.
