    Heinz Bar FW190 A7 Red 23

First post on here so I hope you guys can help me.

I have an old Fujimi 1/48 kit that I picked up a few years back and am planning on doing.
Red 23 was the machine that his 200th kill was achieved.

Instructions show what looks like RLM76 over 82/83 but this doesn't seem right to me.
I have found 2 images on the wings palette site one with no mottling on the side the other with mottling and white rudders and red bottom engine cowling.
Neither of these profile impressions show the camouflage demarcation.

    Hoping someone can help.

    Regards

The topic has been discussing on the board many times and these threads have to be somewhere here. Also using of the Google net browser is helpful usually.

The Fw190A-8 "Red23" was his spare plane and wore RLM 74/75/76 camo scheme and was mottled on sides slightly. The rudder seems to be of white colour for his A-7 Wurger of the number 13 only. As far as the red bottom of the engine cowling is concerned... I heard that it could have been of red colour. But I don't think so. In my opinion it was of yellow rather or it was of undersides paint RLM76.

Here you are images of his kites and their profiles ... sources:

I'd go with the profile Wurger posted. A red under cowling is possible but uncommon enough to need some positive evidence.
Notice the broad propeller blades in the photograph. I would write the number for them but I can't remember it!
    Cheers

Thanks for the replies, those links are now in my favourites.
I thought as much plus the decals in the kit are all wrong and a mixture of all the above machines!!!

I back the RLM 74/75/76 as being the colours used on this machine. These colours were completely standard (together with the standard FW190A camo pattern) for an aircraft flying in late 1943-end 1944.

Red 23 also did not have out board cannons, it is also referenced as an A-7 in Peter Rodeike's Focke Wulf Jagdflugzeug Fw190A, Fw190D and Ta152H
