| ID tag on alu plate from aircraft ? hello! I am new on this forum. very cordial greetings to everyone. Could you identify this printed stamp on an aluminium metal sheet. This item has been found from an excavation on an old Luftwaffe airfield during 1943-1944. 36 x 25 cm thank you for any help you provide me. LG84 |

| hi ! more information about this item... the icon (eagle) isnt one, but acronymous of AWS for Aluminium Walzwerke Singen. In den 1930er Jahren wird die „Alu“ in das Aufrüstungsprogramm der Nationalsozialisten aufgenommen. Sie produziert vor allem für die Flugzeugindustrie und erhält zudem Aufträge im Rahmen des Funkmessprogrammes des Luftfahrtministeriums. regards LG84 |
