Hi,
I am new to this site and to modelling so please forgive any stupid questions!

I want to model a 1/48 scale Lancaster 111 to accurately represent the aircraft in which my uncle flew as radio operator in 1944/5.
The information I do have is:
195 Squadron RAF Wratting Common UK
Type B111
Aircraft No B.85 D
Pilot P/O Armstrong
Jan 14th 1945 to Hamm Marshalling Yards.

What I am particularly trying to find is the squadron marking (ie A4 A ? as A4 appears to be relevant) and the serial no.? ie ND158?
To date I have drawn a blank so if there is an informed individual out there who can help, I will be more than grateful.
Regards

I'll see what I can find for you. A4 was the squadron code, late war.

I remember from a different question that 195 Squadron's Operations Record Book (ORB) is held in the national archives at Kew and may well contain the information you are looking for.

Reference AIR 27/1164

January 1945 is reference AIR 27/1164/38

Cheers
Steve
