USN WWII Atlantic Camo Scheme

Hey guys, I recently picked up Squadron's "USN Camo Patterns of WWII" and it described two separate Atlantic Camo Schemes. The Usual Dark Gull Grey over Insignia White and then another one that was identical to the Pacific Tri-color scheme that I've never come across before. It subbed the Sea Blue and Intermediate Blue for Dark Gull Grey and Light Gull Grey respectively.

Even though the book mentioned it had NO pictures and my searches have come up empty. My question to you guys is have you come across any photos of Atlantic birds in that scheme? It was known as Atlantic Scheme #1 and was rare.

I'm not sure if the USN used two separate camo patterns for these areas.According to my knowledge the tri-colour scheme was used for all US Navy birds and didn't deppend on the operational theatre.

This tri-color scheme was identical to the one we all know but just used different colors. This is the first I've heard of it and due to the lack of photos within the book I'll assume it was ultra rare. Just looking for any and all info you guys may have on the subject.

Oh.... You mentioned it above Dark Gull Grey and Light Gull Grey, right?

OK.I have found info that these kinds of the camo patterns were used for USN Wildcats and FAA Martlets. Here you are some pics.

The Atlantic color scheme has always appeared inconsistent. Some aircraft like PBYs or OA-10s appear to be all white - including all top surfaces.

The 2 Atlantic schemes ( including the Caribbean) were generally referred to as " ASW Schemes 1 and 2 "; the Specification was SR-2e ( 21 June 1944)....
Scheme 1 : Dark Gull Gray 621 uppers, Light Gull Gray 620 side surfaces, Gloss White 511 below.
Scheme 2 : as above but Non-Specular Insignia White 46 (later 601) replaced the LGG on sides.
No. 2 was more common; these were on land-based patrol bombers PB4Y-1s and PV Venturas).
Carrier aircraft on Atlantic escort carriers ( F4F, FM, SBD and TBMs) same schemes .
Some OA-10s were finished with Insignia white top surfaces, gloss white underneath; in line with early Canadian amphibians over the North Atlantic.
The ASR squadron (in Eighth AF ) had a few operating from E. Ehgland.
