| Hello all ,hope an insignia buff like me can give me a hand here, I have a black and white emblem photo of the WW2 era VF-45 design-a cartoon 45 Caliber pistol that has muscular arms coming from the handle/grip and extended out to the front and they have boxing gloves on them, the trigger guard had teeth in it and there is a anchor tatoo on the arm of the upper arm. it was a short lived design April 1944- Sept 1945. Anyone know what Carrier or Carrier Air Group it was with and or colors to this one please contact me by e mail, thank you Very much !!!!! WeBeEmblems@aol.com |

| Senior Member | VF-45 was based on the USS San Jacinto (CVL-30) flying F6F. No luck on the color emblem yet.
