| Avro Lincoln as testbed For a serious research that is being conducted, I ask for your indulgence and beseech you to supply pictures/images of the following Avro Lincoln's used as testbed for turboprops: - S/N RF403 with 2 Armostrong Siddeley Python - S/N RE339/G also as above - S/N SX972 as above and also with 2 turboprops Bristol Proteus - S/N RA716/G with 2 turboprops Bristol Theseus -S/N RE530 (or 533?) with 1 additional turboprop Napier Naiad - S/N G-37-1 with 1 additional turboprop Rolls Royce Tyne The scope of this research is to find out whether any of the a.m. aircrafts was fitted with contra-rotating props. However the only picture that is eligible for my list of contra-props is the Avro Lincoln RE339Gof 1951 with Armstrong Siddeley Pythons turboprops in the outer nacelles driving contra-rotating props.
