| B-24J Part & Main Landing gear drawing wanted I found some parts of a B-24J on Oahu Hawaii. THE B-24J LIBERATOR AIRCRAFT #44-40332 CRASHED 5 MAY 1944 AFTER DEPARTING HICKAM FIELD RUNWAY #3 ENROUTE TO AUSTRALIA. IT FLEW FOR 6 ¼ MILES AND CRASHED INTO THE MOUNTAINS AT AN ELEVATION OF 1425 FEET I'm looking for a drawing of a B-24J main landing gear to go with the photograph. Preferably from a WWII period manual. Also I found this other part at the crash site. I do not know what it is. if anyone has any ideas please let me know. I think it is part of the engine. DaveT |

| Nice work Paul! Maybe these might help. They are the starboard main gear on the B24J at Duxford, UK., taken only a month ago. I'm not sure what the round object is without some sort of scale or measurement, but it may be the main bearing seat for the turbocharger, as shown in the last two pics. Cheers, Terry.
