 | Dambusting Lancasters Hey all, this may sound odd coming from me, but does anyone have any pics of Avro 683 Lancasters Type 464 Provisioning (dumbusting lancs to you boys and girls) or the upkeep mine? failing that any 617 lancs will do nicely, thanks in advance!

| i would also just like to point out to people that gnoemy's 5th picture down is actually of lancs used for the filming of the dambusters film.........

| More... Upkeep:  Shows how the mine was spun.  Basic idea of how it worked.  Alongside Tallboy and Grandslam (with a man who looks like an idiot standing next to it)   Painting of a test:  Lancasters     All sources on right click.

| Did you know that Gibson's G-George (ED932/G) was still extant in 1947 until some kind Civil Serpent ordered it destroyed under the 'reduce to produce' programme! I do hope he sleeps well at night.........the git! |
