Country: | Here is a contrast of new and old Yak-3s. There are only 2 surviving original Yak-3s. One is in a museum in Paris, France. The other is in a museum in Camarillo California. Neither one fly due to the fact that they were made of plywood, which is starting to delaminate. There are some that were made in the early 1990s out of aluminum that was the idea of Yakovlev to generate some much needed funds. Smart move!
