Hello,
I'm looking for any German captured P-40's from the eastern front.
I know its a long shot, but hoping that some of you guys have
accsess to the pictures I'm looking for. thanks on advance.

I don't think there was any of Russian P-40s captured by Germans. Especially if you think about airworth machines.

yes perhaps. buts I would think there would be at least a few.
I know the Fins had a few, some were airworthy and used to the
end of the war.

Finnish P-40 is the different matter. Here you are a couple pics and a profile of the same P-40 in your shot, with a caption. It seems to be a single P-40 captured by Fins.Source unknown......

oh very nice. it looks to have a mottle style camo. there was a least
5 other KittyHawks that the fins used. but still, a German one would
be nice to see. mabey with KG-200? mabey lettered T9+??.

Possible ...but I haven't found any info on other Finnish P-40s in a few books about FAF during WW2.

Concerning KG 200.. I don't think the unit could use P-40s because these fighter machines were quite rare for ETO.. more likely is that the plane or a few of them might have been used by 2./Versuchsverband Ob.d.l , also called Wanderzirkus Rosarius ( Rosarius' Circus). But I didn't find anything about using of P-40s there too.

rare on the western front perhaps, but on the eastern front the Russian's used P-40's... alot of P-40's. Rosarius' Circus sounds like a good lead.

A lot of Russian P-40s was unable to be used because of many techical problems.

yes. for mostly engine part replacement. but they also took out the
Allison V-1710's and replaced them with a Russian V-12. the name
of which escapes me at the moment. they only did that to the
P-40's which they couldn't get parts for. ;)

yup.. looks like this is gonna be one tough hunt... but I know there has to
be at least one pic out there somewhere.

theres this but I assume its somewhere in north africa...
