Has anyone out there seen a photo of the Heinkell 111 flown by Oberst Alois Stoeckl which was shot down on August 14 1940 at East Dean, Hampshire, England?

By the way, God does have a place for all of his creatures. Right next to the potatoes and gravy.

The Heinkel was shot down by two Spitfires from RAF No. 609 sqdrn. Oberst Walter Frank was the Chief of Staff for Fliegerkorps V.

    Haven't found any pics yet.

It looks as though no photos exist. Incidentally, Hugh Trevitt's excellent book 'Achtung Spitfire Luftwaffe over England Eagle Day August 14 1940' credits Sgt Mike Boddington of 234 Squadron along with John Dundas as the Spitfire pilots involved. I bought the book after making my first post and am very impressed with the amount of research that went into it.
