I'm looking for a couple of reference pics for the P-51, but of a rather specific nature:
-P-51A
-WW-II era (can be a pic of a restored fighter; colour photos preferred), with Canadian or British markings
-detail on any tail markings, nose art, and kill-markings.
There is a P-51A being restored in Wahpeton, ND, close to me. It should be flying by the end of the summer, according to Gerry Beck who is in charge of the construction. I have attached some shots. They are not the best because the flash didnt want to work, but they are what i have. I aked Gerry what colors it would be painted in last time i was down there, and he said then havent even thought about that. With a little luck, it may be Brittish or Canadian colors (he just finished a P-51D in August in Canadian colors, see last attached photo)

Here's what I've got. They're not all colour, but they're all RAF or RCAF Mustang Mk.I. I hope they help.
