| Not really any help to this particular topic I admit, but my mother used to work for the Short Aircraft Company in Rochester. Here's a link telling you a bit about the airplane works there if anyone is interested: Short's of Rochester

| It certainly does. It was built around 1069 and rather dominates the skyline of Rochester. There's a particularly good pub not far away from it, but unfortunately not quite so old! Have a look: Rochester Castle
