| 12th usaaf-fighter tactics center
looking for any information on the 12th usaaf "fighter tactics center" which operated sometime in early 1943 (if not before) from airfields just south of casablanca, morocco. the airfields were berrechid I and berrechid II. the unit flew curtis p-40L's, a mk of spitfires, bell p-39's and lockheed p-38's. there was also at least one north american t-6 texan. any information would be greatly appreciated. my father was assigned there sometime after february 1943. hope someone knows something about the center. thanks in advance,hal whiteman. |
