B-17 Unit Photo

I just picked up this large 17x7" unit photo that's too large for my scanner. I scanned what I could. Can anyone identify the unit or theater? I can't quite make out the unit patches on the left shoulder. G model B-17? Look at the last guy, far right, in the second row. Look at his hat emblem. Can anyone identify that?

Regards.

Hi Paul,

sorry I canīt help you out with the identification but try to post it at ArmyAirForces.com > Home
A lot of members are former WW2 vets there...
Anyway, nice pic in good quality.

Patches look to be Eighth AF.

Could you perhaps scan the rest of the photo at the same resolution? I can then try and stitch it together for you...

Good luck in trying to identify the unit... it'll be tough unless someone recognizes one of these fellas.
