Country: | Doolittle Raider in Russia Hello!!
I'm trying to find out more information on the B-25B/Mitchell that went down in Russia following the Doolittle Raid in 1942. Specifically, I know what happened to the crew, but what happened with the aircraft? Was it taken somewhere and do any pictures of the aircraft exist? Is it still around at a museum somewhere?
Thank you very much for any assistance you can provide!!! |

Country: | I know what plane you're talking about. History says it was destroyed in a hanger fire in the late 40's, early 50's in the USSR. |

I had never seen an aircraft completely disintegrate in the air the way this Me-110 did..."

| And so what if the Russians got ahold of a 1939 vintage design that was obsolescent in 1945.

| I don't know if the B25 had the Norden but if it did, no doubt they would find it very interesting |
