| More Warbirds tested by NACA: XF8F-1 In the 4th image, note the face painted on the backside of the cockpit armor; also to the right of the airman, in the background, is the old dirigible hangar that stood at Langley until it burned down after the war. Part of it's concrete pad still remains there today. |
