| I think he posted in the Photo section. From what I saw I think its a Fw 190 missing a canopy. If its the pic he is suggesting. Took alook again. Charlie2 looks like a Bf 109 maybe missing its wings.

| I think you are right of the matter of the pic in the Photo section. That's it.But I'm afraid I cannot agre with you that it was Fw 190 missing conopy. The aircraft had different engine cowling. What is more there is visible a main starboard landing gear leg.Wurgers had their ones mounted to their wings and quite far from a fuselage. In addition there are visible two small air intakes on the front of the engine cowling ( above the exhaust pipes) that were characteristic for Bf109G and late series. I think that the aircraft in the pic was Bf109 G-6/AS, G-10, G-14/AS or K-4 fighter.Judging by its light camo on the fuselage it is possible it was a Special Escort camo scheme. The DB605AS or DB605DCM engine can be suggested by the engine cowling as well.On left there is visible a quite big bulge with big black spot on it.I think it can be hole for a "cold" engine start crank. This is my opinion.

| These are the two pics. I saw the first when he posted a month ago or so but didn't see the second. I think you're right, Wurger.

| "Shooter" ![]() | The top of the canopy in the first picture looks squared off in the back. That would seem like a 109 to me.

| I thought it might be too wide a cockpit. Maybe an Ar 96?

| Rather no, in the first pic it could be Fw190.Because its windscreen was of the square shape as well , the rest of cockpit conopy was bulging only. What is more I cannot see the short cross-bars in the windscreen corners what was typical for Bf109 cockpit windscreens. But I still think that in the second pic there is Bf109 of G or possible K series.

| You're right, Wurger! For some reason I kept thing in the first pic he was facing to the right. He is actually facing left! Ok, first pic I vote Fw 190. Second pic definately Bf 109.
