| There's a group of photo's circulating through e-mail, which show the camoflaging of Lockheed during WWII. I assume many if not most of you are familiar with these photo's. The last photo in the series I just reviewed, shows what appears to be a 4 engine, low wing, tricycle gear, aircraft with a triple rudder configuration (see photo below). I don't even have a guess what this is, but since I'm not an expert that's no surprise . |

| Senior Member | It's a Constellation mate Lockheed Constellation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia That would date the pic to some time during or after 1943. BTW, very nice pic, some good wallpaper material that! Oh, and welcome aboard!

| Of course, of course. I should have known that. My first commercial flight was on a super G Connie from LaGuardia to San Francisco. My mind was just focussed on this being a WWII photo, so I was trying to make that thing into a bomber. Thanks for the quick response. |

| Just to get technical, with all the other AAF aircraft in the hanger, probably a C-69. |
