| Junkers F48 Reading through a book about the Battle of Britian there was a mention of the Junker F48, supposedly the predecessor to the Ju 87 Stuka. Does anybody have information and pictures about this aircraft? |

| Hi Flyboy, >Reading through a book about the Battle of Britian there was a mention of the Junker F48, supposedly the predecessor to the Ju 87 Stuka. Hm, probably it's the type usually called K48: Junkers Aircraft of the Twenties Regards, Henning (HoHun) |

| Your right it was the K48, just checked my book, my mistake Great info though thanks very much What exactly qualifies this as being the forerunner of the Ju 87 other than being a Junker dive bomber? |

| First off all the K48 was a fighter-assault plane. The aircraft was used for some tests of dive bombing. These tests were issued because of the WW1 idea of dropping bombes from a diving flight. In that time the kind of bombing was different in results. But using the plane gave much more experience in the kind of an attack and affirmed the better accuracy of a target hit.
