Oh, I have no doubt that it would be quite an undertaking, especially if it is an actual RCAF wreck. That's when DND would have to get involved to ensure that there was no old ordinance, fuel, etc. left around.

at the newark air museum they have a section of lancaster fusalage that was used as a garden shed until the museum got it, hopefully this is a pic

Sorry guys. I forgot to bookmark this site. The Lancaster tail section is located at Dawson lake in northern BC. Many pieces and parts located in this lake. The tail section is supposedly on the westside of this lake. Don't know how it got there. There is also a B-25 in the lake just about 400 ft offshore from the end of the runway and it is in about 40 ft of water. Lost power on take off and no casualtys.
