| That's another Nazi cloud cuckoo that was designed so the designer wouldn't be sent to the Russian front! It never existed, other than a wind tunnel model. |

| thats a good reason 4 desighning such an aircraft. but i think, if the engine for the lift would be powerfull enoug to lift the whole thing, it could fly. ok, 4 hovering it would need smal stabilizer props, but i think it could have worked.

Country: | No it wouldn't The US was attempting designs like that throughout the 50s and into the 60s, it's a flop. The closest you can get is a Hovercraft. Helicopters are much more practical, and the new breed is in the Osprey.

Country: | The Germans might have made it work Blohm und Voss have proved that unconventional designs can be built to fly...

| The Canadian Avrocar, built with USAF funding, was similar to that design. The Avrocar was virtually uncontrollable in anything but a hover, and it couldn't get out of ground effect. An interesting flop, but necessary, if only to show where not to go. |

| and thats why it needed smal stabilizer engines, similar as those in a harrier. without them, even a harier couldnt fly.

Country: | The Harrier is a completely different concept. It uses jet thrust to lift itself off the ground, and keeps control because the thrusters a directly under the aircraft. Even then, it only has 90 seconds hover time.

| nope, ure wrong on that one....
the harier has litle thrusters on the tips of its wing to keep his ballance. otherwise, it couldnt hover
mind the litle black square u c on the tip of the wing. thats the exhaust of the thruster
