    Thunderhead B 25

Anyone know the history of a B25 named Thunderhead and another named Cirro Stratus that were assigned to a weather recon outfit stationed out of Wright Field in Dayton early on WW2? My Dad was a flight engineer on these planes. Did they survive and where are they now? His name was Sgt. Joseph Lewek. Any info would be incerely appreciated.

Hi Al, First off this is a long shot but I found an IL-2 skin labled this. 310th BG 380th BS - SN 44-28717 - THUNDERHEAD located at this web site. 310th Bomb Group 380th Bomb Squadron

If this truely is the B-25 you are looking for then this web site will be of interest and if your lucky you will find your fathers name among the mission reports.

    380th Squadron History

    Best of luck
    Paul
