A new WW2 watch for my collection........

Hi,

I have been wanting to find a nice WW2 era chronograph watch (a watch with a stopwatch) that an allied pilot might buy for himself or be given by his family (many wanted something nicer than an issue watch).

After a lot of research I bought this swiss made Pierce chronograph made sometime between 1938 and 1945, it is in nice condition and keeps accurate time.

As you can see by the period advert, Pierce sales were aimed at military pilots......Unlike most watch companies, Pierce designed and produced their own movements, it is a two button chronograph with a 17 jewel movement.

The Pierce looks nice next to my other WW2 watches, I'll post more photos soon,
cheers,

-John

Looks like a nice piece FlightPath. How much does something like that go for?

Hi Thorlifter,

the Pierce cost $200 + post and has been serviced within the last couple of years.

I have just bought a very nice WW2 RAF Omega 6B/159, I'll post more photos when it arrives.

cheers,

-John
