"If that chute dont blossom wide, I'll be a splat on the countryside. If that chute dont blossom round, I'll be the first one to the ground".

I learned that little "ditty" on my first day of jump school. I even had my first few jumps using an old surplus T-10 army chute.

You are a lot younger than me. The T-10 was "standard issue" for me. Did you still use a T-7 for reserve? (I think the T-7 was the 24 ft 'pull and pray')
