Shown here is one of three Spearfish protoypes to fly. The first prototype of this aircraft (RA 356) first flew on 5 July 1945. A production order for 40 Spearfish T.B.D. Mk.1, in hand at Stockport in 1946, was subsequently cancelled, but one production aircraft (RN 241) was flown as well as the second and third prototypes (Fleet Air Arm Museum).
