Shown here is a Advanced Carrier Training Group Pacific (ACTGPac) TBM Avenger pilot taxis to the port catapult of USS Matanikau (CVE-101) during training exercises off San Diego, California. Matanikau provided carrier qualification deck services for the Pacific Fleet during October 1944 - July 1945. USN.
