Shown here is P-47C Thunderbolt, 41-6530 'VM:A' of the 551st FDighter Training Squadron based at Atcham 'Station 342', in Shropshire, provided operational training fpr pilots received from US traininig establishments and was often the 'mount' of the CO at Atcham. It bears the standard white Thunderbolt type-recognition markings, spring 1944.
