 | Flying on "garimpo" over amazon... Here some compilation about landing and take offs on the Amazon Jungle... They are taken between 1989 and 1990 YouTube - Vôos no Garimpo - Pousos e Decolagens The "garimpo" is a gold mine, under the jungle, they remove the trees and mine all the area, some very bad runways are made, with trees about 30m height on the 4 sides.. only the very best crazy pilots can land on there... these runwasy are called "coffins", cos, or you land, or you die.. they are so dangerous. The pilots that flew on this time are great heros, that the brazilian people forgot...  Here my "hommage" to all
