| I think it was the beginning of validation trials for eventually launching V2-like rockets from submarine decks; this was right after the War, and before the Regulus. Obviously, the V-2 missle was a little big to carry on a submarine, so I think they were seeing if it was possible to launch a missle from the deck of an ocean-going vessel. |
