Vid clip British Army Longbow visits Grand Prix - yes they do fly in public... we have a scandal here with not enough pilots trained to the level to fly this beast effectively.... yet another **** up in MoD procurement... dunno quite what it was doing at Silverstone but this is from ITV's coverage.

I didn't know the British Army had gone with the Apache. I'm guessing it's much cheaper than the Tiger. That's usually how it goes.

Not that the Apache is especially bad or anything.

Unit cost might be lower (though I doubt it) but they aren't 'combat ready' so it turns out very expensive for the taxpayer...
