| I friend of mine posted this vid on LV and it is tormenting the hell out of me trying to ID the 'warbird'. I think it is a Pilatus but it aint no 'warbird' - used to be one in the UK airshow circuit yonks ago and recall seeing it on the cover of a Flypast mag. ..OLD WAR BIRD EATS HELICOPTER .. - LiveVideo.com |

| Found this story while looking During March, Carolyn Grace taxied her two-seat Spitfire into a Jet Ranger helicopter at Duxford, England. The helicopter was destroyed and the Spitfire sustained nearly $200,000 worth of damage. The aircraft, which will be repaired, is T. Mk. IX ML407/G-- LFIX was operated by the Irish Air Corps as 162 from 1951 to 1968. Sold in Britain, it made its first post-- restoration flight in 1985. | I'm leaning towards your first impression Royzee, it looks like the Swiss EKW C-3605 target towing aircraft, purely based on what looks like a very long nose. |
