I have seen the 'Pink Lady' in the flesh, as it were. A lovely machine and the day was made all the better as she accompanied by the British B-17 and a P-47. It will be sad to see 'Pink Lady' lost to the U.S. but in fairness that would be her home, and Great Britain will have the remaining 'Flying Fortress' in Europe.

It seems that the Pink Lady will stay at orly airport for the future. The most problem for it would be the rising insurance costs in Europe for this category of aircraft (ca. 500% rise, or an additional $1,890 per hour of flight)....

Yes, the EU strikes again. The tiny brains of those in the EU seem to believe that the B-17s flying in Europe should be in the same insurance category as a 757 !

In the other words in case of war 757 should be a bomber

Especially as the Pink Lady fly 20 or 30 hours per years whereas a 757 fly 15 per days. It's nonsensical

Absolutely. EU rules support the bussines of insurance companies...in this case...those people don´t know anything about the history and don´t care for it...that´s sad
