Crash of Halifax bomber DT581 -- January 1943

Another aircaft crashed near my home in Burnley. On 21st January 1943 a Halifax (DT581) that had strayed off-course crashed on Hoar Side Moor near Black Hameldon, which was later to claim B-24 42-50668 in 1945 (see previous posting of mine).
