Military situation at the end of 1941 (screenshot from 12/41 magazine):
Interesting to note that the map subtly acknowledges that Finland refused to sign the Tripartite (or Axis) pact because Finland saw its war as a "separate war" from the Second World War, and it saw its objectives as different from those of Nazi Germany. Finland also wanted to maintain diplomatic relations with the Allied Powers, the United States in particular.

I have a hardback book that reprints about 8 to 10 english language issues that made it to America before Germany declared war on the U.S. What's interesting is that even though Germany was fully engaged in all out warfare, you still see a large variety of consumer goods being offered in advertisements.
