Greetings ladies and gentlemen.
On May 4, 1944 at 8:00 PM, a Mosquito Mk. XIII (coded "MM446") shot down a bunch of German planes over Longvic airfield. The British pilot was Wing Commander Geoffrey Horace Goodman (DFC, DSO) and his navigator was Flight Officer WFE Thomas.
- 1 of them crashed on Ouges, between the Dams number 61 and 62 of the Canal de Bourgogne.
- 1 of them crashed on Ouges, near Vernois farm.
- 1 of them crashed on the airfield.
- 2 more crashed outside of the town.
For some reasons, WC Goodman only claimed four enemy planes.
Goodman only fired 523 bullets to take down those Heinkel 111.

| Well, I definately take your word for it Maestro, as 3 fighters shot down on one mission by a Mosquito was becoming rather normal, although extremely good, toward the end of the War.....
This aircraft seems quite underated by today's young folk, considering the aircraft's War record; it's either 'fighters & bombers'; - but 6-7000 of these aircraft made an impressive contribution towards the Allied victory in the ETO particuarly..... | |

| Richard Audet of 411 Sqn got 5 single engine fighters in a Spitfire IXE on December 29th, 1944. 3 FW 190s of JG54 and a 109 each from JG 6 and JG 27. It was his 52nd operational sortie, but the first time he had met enemy fighters.
He then went on to post 5 more kills as well as 1 more shared and 1 on the ground, all in January 1945, before flak killed him on a straffing mission in early March. | |

Country:  | Aussie ace Clive Caldwell, while flying a Tomahawk in North Africa, shot down 5 Stuka's and damaged a C.200 in one mission on the 5th of December 1941.

| On September 1, 1942 Hans-Joachim Marseille tallied 17 enemy aircraft in 3 sorties in his Bf 109F. And he scored them in rapid order compressing several kills into a few short minutes.

"On October 21, 1943, he achieved 12 victories (Nos. 62-73) in one day; in December 1943 within three weeks 72 victories, reportedly 18 on one day! As commander of II./JG 26 he carried on his successes on the Invasion front, shooting down 25 Allied aircraft in a matter of weeks. | I image if you achieve complete suprise and have excellent aim you could probably take out 3 or 4 aircraft in rapid succession before they realised what was happening, especially in a cannon armed aircraft. You would have to have impecable timing though.
