He's been on so many Discovery / History Channel documentaries he seemed to defy aging.

No matter at what time in life death comes, we feel that one could have lived longer.

Rall was blessed with a long life. Luckily for him he died of natural causes - so many of his contemporaries wouldn't even get to fraction of his age.

A great loss. We salute another hero.

Seemed like a really good guy from what I've seen in interviews and seminars. RIP.

RIP Gunther Rall. He truly was a great warrior, and person as well from what I hear.

Rall really disliked being CO of JG 300 he wanted to fly the 262 of which he never was given chance. I had asked him straight up about all of this for my own data purposes for a forthcoming book. He felt terrible about his understanding or misunderstanding as you see it, of sending off kids to their deaths.

Seen him, as others on this page, many times on interviews. Smart, witty and funny guy. Seemed to deal with the war better than most people. Guess that came from his character.

    Sad to see him go.

Here's a video that was done in the late 90's for the combat sim Jane's WW2 Fighters.

Here, he explains some about his Bf109 and why he had so many aerial victories. I've enjoyed watching his various interviews, because he always had a relaxed way about himself.
