General Aircraft Fleet Shadower

This is from " Worlds worst aircraft"
This was a very odd looking aircraft. One quote says that " It resembled the offspring of a Striling bomber and a Sunderland flying boat"

It was made to shadow enemy ships. It had a crew of 3. A pilot, a radio operator, and an observer. It had no defensive guns so if it was caught by a german ship, they could easily send out an Arado Ar-196 and the Shadower had no chance.

Specifications:
Crew: 3
Engines: 4 97KW (130 HP) Pobjoy Niagra Piston Engines
Max Speed: 115 mph, to folloe sureface ships she could go only 39 mph to keep up with waships. This was because the airflow supplied to the 2 bladed propellers was blown over the full span flaps
Span: 55ft 10 in
Length: 36 ft 1 in
Height: 12ft 8 in
Weight: 9458 lbs

Do you think to be successful it needed armament offensive and defensive? Also, more powerful engines?

Some say it was the first stealth aircraft, she was made of all wood. The four tiny engines were extremly. It could be landed on an aircraft carrier

Do you think that if this aircrafts problems were fixed that it would have been somewhat good plane?

It looks like it needs a rotary wing.

Seriously though, due to it's slow speed, I don't think armament would do much good. If any of the ships carried a sea plane that could be launched, the aircraft would probably get shot down. If you could get it up to extreme altitudes that might offer some protection and allow it to do it's mission.
